Use of our websites and commision of services, howsoever conducted, are governed by our terms and conditions as set out below. By using these sites or by placing an order you are accepting these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions only cover the db-advancedfinishes web site. Any other web sites to which you link from this site may be governed by their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content of web sites which are not under our control.
Sales can be concluded in English only and we do not file copies of customer contracts.
Your existing statutory rights are not affected.
Definitions
The "buyer" or “you” or “your” means the person using the site and/or placing an order with us.

"conditions" means the terms and conditions set out on the db-advancedfinishes.co.uk website and any special and/or additional conditions agreed in writing by us.
"good" or "goods" or “product” or “products” means the goods (including any instalment or parts or partial deliveries of goods) which we are to supply in accordance with these conditions.
"writing" includes post, facsimile transmission, email and other comparable means of communication.
"including" and "in particular" shall be construed as not limiting any general words or expressions in conjunction with which either of those expressions is used.

These conditions shall apply to all contracts for sale of services by us to you, to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions including any which you may purport to apply under any purchase order, confirmation of order or any such similar document.
Our agents, contractors and resellers are not authorised to make any representations or claims concerning the goods unless confirmed by us in writing and in entering into a contract you acknowledge that it does not rely on any such representations which are not so confirmed.
Any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in any sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance of offer, invoice or other document or information issued by us, including web sites hosted or maintained by us or on our behalf, shall be subject to correction without any prior notification and without any liability on our part or that of our agents.
No variation or addition to these conditions shall be effective unless agreed in writing by us.
Prices, Description and Availability of Goods/services
Prices are subject to change without notice and all goods are sold subject to availability and/or delivery times or estimates, stated against individual products or our order acknowledgement.
Website pricing may differ from sales literature or special offer pricing.
Packing, postage and carriage shall be charged in addition to the price of goods/services. Published shipping charges are for delivery to mainland UK only. We welcome enquiries from elsewhere, however, and ask that in these cases you contact us by email, letter or telephone for onward shipping costs to other locations.
Whist we take the utmost care to ensure the product descriptions, pictures, information, prices and delivery dates are accurate, slight manufacturing variations may occur and we do not accept liability for any inaccuracies, errors or omissions.
Please note that the colour of images shown on this website may be affected by the technology used to access them. Whilst we do our best to faithfully reproduce colours, some variation may occur.
Payment
Payment must be made in full at date of order and prior to despatch of any goods unless otherwise agreed terms. Payment may be made by post by cheque or postal order,Bank Transfer. Please do not send money (notes) in the post. All prices are in Pounds Sterling (£) Cheques and Postal Orders must always be in Pounds Sterling.
Time for payment shall be of the essence and any failure to pay or cancellation or rejection of payment shall entitle us, at our discretion, to treat the contract as repudiated by you. Orders will be acknowledged in writing once payment is received, separate receipts for payment shall be issued only on request.
Sales tax
We are required to charge Value Added Tax (VAT) at local rate. Orders from outside the EU may be subject to local sales tax or import duty. Such duties are not included in our prices and the buyer remains liable for payment of these taxes or duties to the relevant authority on or following delivery.
Accepting Orders, Confirmation and Security
When you place an order, we will treat it as an offer to buy. We will send you an email with the details you have supplied, you must check the details and confirm your order. You will have the opportunity to change or cancel your order at this point. However, we will be entitled to refuse to accept your order if we feel it necessary, in which case we will e-mail you as soon as we can to let you know and refund your payment. The delivery period will be judged to start from the date of our email confirming payment has been accepted.
Once acknowledged by us, orders may not be cancelled by you unless agreed in writing by us.
We retain the right to cancel all or part of an order without any liability to you and refund any moneys paid in respect of the cancelled goods as soon as possible but in any event within thirty days. We are not under any obligation to pay you any additional compensation for inconvenience or disappointment.
In deciding whether to accept your order we may use the information you have given to us, or we already hold about you, or which we receive from any enquiry we may make with various agencies, to confirm your identity. This assists us to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions. If we decline your offer on security grounds we will contact you and may seek an alternative payment method or to advise you to visit one of our dealers.
Orders are accepted at our sole discretion and we maintain the right to decline orders without giving an explanation.
We will take all reasonable care within our power, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party gains unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.
Delivery
All goods are “made to order”. In all cases, goods will normally be despatched after approximately 1 week from acknowledgment of order but any delivery times quoted are estimates, based on availability and normal delivery time. Additional time should be allowed where payment is made by cheque. Cheques must be confirmed cleared (7-10 working days, sorry the banks really do take that long,) before we can confirm your order and manufacture can begin.
We will always try to deliver as soon as possible but delivery shall not be of the essence and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by you arising out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date.
Goods will only be delivered to an address verified either by your credit card by other means. The method of despatch for all sales shall be at our discretion and will include insurance where goods are of an appropriate value. Special delivery arrangements may be accepted but you must contact us prior to placing an order to arrange and you must pay any additional costs.
In the unlikely event that delivery is unavoidably delayed by 7 days or more, we will notify you by e-mail.
Warranties and Liabilities
Subject to the conditions below the goods will, at the time of delivery correspond to the description given by us in our final order confirmation. Once you reconfirm the order including all custom sizes and customisation we shall be under no liability in respect of any defect or variation in the goods arising from any drawing, design or specification supplied by you.
All goods carry a three year guarantee from the date of purchase against faults in material or workmanship. Where a valid claim based on any defect in the quality or conditions of the goods or their failure to meet specification is notified to us in accordance with these conditions, we shall be entitled to repair or replace the goods (or any part thereof) free of charge or at our sole discretion, refund the price of the goods (or a proportionate part of the price), but we shall have no further liability. Where goods are immediately returned in a new and unused condition, if on inspection, they are deemed by us at the point of delivery to you to have met the confirmed specification, they will be returned to you and the contract deemed fulfilled.
We shall not be liable under this guarantee (whether actual or implied) in respect of normal wear and tear or any defect arising from fair wear and tear. Neither shall we be liable in the event of damage caused as a result of accident or accidental damage, wilful damage, negligence, failure to properly maintain and respect, abnormal usage, failure to follow our instructions (whether oral or in writing), misuse or alteration or repair of the goods without our written agreement.
Where the goods are additionally covered by a third party manufacturer's warranty, you are only entitled to the benefit of such warranties or guarantees as are given by the manufacturer to us.
Please retain your order acknowledgement and receipt as the date of purchase printed on them are required to claim the guarantee. In the event that you wish to make a claim under the above terms, please contact us in writing clearly stating the nature of your claim and preferably including photographs for our initial evaluation, also include a copy of the order acknowledgement. Goods must not be returned without our prior written agreement.
We shall not be held liable by reason of any representation or any implied warranty, condition, or other term or any duty at common law or under the express terms of the contract, for any indirect, special or consequential loss or damage, costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever (whether caused by cancellation of order, our negligence, or that of our employees or agents or otherwise) which arise out of or in connection with the supply of the goods or their use or resale by you including, without limitation, losses or damages of the types listed below:
Loss of profit; and/or loss of anticipated savings: and/or loss of business; and/or loss of goods; and/or loss of revenue; and/or loss of use; and/or downtime.
Under any circumstances, our entire liability under or in connection with the contract shall not exceed the price of the goods.
Returns
We will not accept the return of customer specified goods, no refunds, discount or compensation will be paid for any customised goods except in the case of faults in material or workmanship as detailed above.
Any defects present on delivery, shortages, damage caused in transit or requests for exchange of goods (subject to the conditions above) must be notified to us in writing within seven days from the date of receipt of the goods.
Goods may only be returned with our prior written approval and must be packaged securely and sufficiently to fully protect the goods. The return delivery address and method will be specified in writing by us. You will be liable for the cost of remedying any damage to returned goods where such damage, in our opinion, was caused by inadequate packing or through your fault. Replacements may be supplied subject to our inspection and acceptance of the returned goods and may take up to 28 days. In the case of alternative size exchanges, all additional shipping costs must be bourn by you. Shipping costs of goods returned under guarantee will be refunded by us subject to our acceptance of the claim; otherwise you will be liable for all shipping costs.
Enforceability
If any element of these conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other elements of these conditions and the remainder of the element in question shall not be affected.
Complaints
Should you have a concern or complaint about the service or products we provide please contact us immediately. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and we will make every practicable and reasonable effort to ensure that is so.
Trademarks and copyright
All third party copyright, trademarks, brand names, product names and titles on this website, literature and other medium within our control are acknowledged.
Any use, printing or copying of materials on this website, other than in the course of browsing, selecting products and ordering from us, is strictly prohibited. Any framing of this website is prohibited.
Jurisdiction
The contract shall be governed by the laws of England and the buyer agrees to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
General
Specifications of goods, prices, delivery times, methods and charges are correct at the time of writing but are subject to change without notice.
While we will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information on the site, we make no warranties, whether express or implied in relation to its accuracy.
The website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any representation or endorsement made and we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, in relation to the site, or any transaction that may be conducted on or through the Website including but not limited to, implied warranties of non-infringement, compatibility, security, accuracy, conditions of completeness, or any implied warranty arising from course of dealing or usage or trade.
We make no warranty that the Website will meet your requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the materials.
